Another Clergy Abuse Lawsuit Filed in Philadelphia

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Another case of clergy abuse has been filed this year, this time at a courthouse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

According to the lawsuit, a former altar boy is bringing charges against a North Philadelphia parish where he claims to have been abused. The 28-year-old man states that he was abused for three years during the 90s by a reverend. Rather than file against the former reverend, whom is no longer active due to a similar lawsuit, the lawsuit was filed against church officials for failing to protect the young man as a child.

This lawsuit follows at least eight others in Philadelphia against the church. However, this suit may be different from the others in that it could fall under the state's criminal statute of limitations.

Are you a victim of clergy abuse? Whether the abuse is recent or happened decades ago, you can still file suit against the offending party.  To learn more about your legal options, contact the Zalkin Law Firm and work with a clergy abuse attorney today who can guide you through the legal process.
