Elderly Woman Files Lawsuit Against Nursing Facility

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Another case of elder abuse makes front page news, this time in Seal Beach, California.

According to the woman filing the suit, who is also the victim, the nursing facility has been giving her the wrong medication for a period of time. The 68-year-old believes that the facility has been giving her prescription drugs unnecessarily for dementia and schizophrenia, without her permission. She also believes that the doctors ordered the nursing staff to give her a powerful psychiatric drug without a proper evaluation.

The company that owns the facility, along with dozens other in the state, are not commenting on the lawsuit at this time.

If you have reason to suspect that you have been a victim of elder abuse, whether it was physical, financial or sexual, it is time to contact the Zalkin Law Firm so you can discuss your case with an empathetic elder abuse lawyer.  In some cases, you have the right to file a lawsuit against those who have harmed you, but you'll want to get advice from a lawyer before you move forward with any type of legal action.
