According to the San Jose Police Department, 28-year-old Colette Phelps has been arrested for committing "lewd and lascivious acts" with a student. Little more is know about the victim, only that he or she is 14 or 15 years old, and attends one of the schools in the Stratford School system. When officers learned about the teacher sexual abuse on June 1, she was arrested that same day on multiple sexual abuse charges.
According to Phelps' Facebook page, she is a graduate of Chapman University and taught a specialty course at the school.
