Priest Placed on Leave Following Allegations

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Recently, news sources have reported that a Catholic priest was placed on administrative leave.  Rev. Edward Receconi was ordered to go on leave after allegations surfaced that he had molested a minor in the 1980s while working at Sacred Heart Parish in Lacey.

The Archdiocese of Seattle told news sources that it learned of the allegations against Receconi after the victim's attorney contacted them.  Once they were informed, they said they placed
Receconi on administrative leave pending an official investigation.

Prior to the allegations, Receconi filled in as needed at various parishes operated by the Archdiocese.  In addition to working at Sacred Heart, Receconi served at St. Edward and Holy Rosary Parish.
