Pediatrician Accused of Sex Abuse

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
In the city of Boston, new allegations have surfaced against a former pediatrician who worked at the city's Children's Hospital.  It has been reported that several men are filing a lawsuit against the doctor and the hospital for sexual abuse that took place many years ago.

Now, the class action lawsuit is claiming that more than 40 children were abused by one doctor throughout a 20 year.

According to the lawyer representing the plaintiffs, the doctor, Melvin Levine, took one 10-year-old boy to Washington DC after obtaining his parents' permission.  During that time, sexual abuse allegedly took place.

The hospital responded by saying that it had investigated the one complaint after the doctor had left the hospital 25 years ago and found there was no wrongdoing.  However, the lawyer asserts that the hospital did not properly supervise or train the doctor.

He said, "They let him continue to be at the hospital and continue to sexually abuse the children there."
