Marion Court Hearing Decide on Suit Naming Indianapolis Diocese

| No TrackBacks

The Indystar reports that a hearing today will decide whether a lawsuit can go forward regarding alleged sexual abuse by a priest in the mid-70's.  The suit names the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis.  The alleged victim claims that he had repressed the memory until 2003 when it came back to him in a therapy session.  Victims have only until their 20th birthday to file sexual abuse claims, and the hearing will decide if an exception can be made in this case, as the individual filing the suit claims he only remembered the incident at age 38.  He is now 40.

Many individuals who have suffered from priest abuse would like to forget the incident, and try hard to do so.  It can be valuable to the victim to contact a priest abuse attorney to assist with making a claim for compensation.  There is some justice that results from these cases, as the accused must face the truth as well.  The Zalkin Law Firm legal team is dedicated to assisting victims of clergy abuse and is prepared to help you with your claim.
