Tulsa Christian School Named in Lawsuit

| No TrackBacks

A Tulsa Christian school, the Grace Fellowship Christian School, has been accused of hiding millions in assets during a trial for one of their teachers charged with sexual molestation of young student, reports courthousenews.com.  The teacher accused, an Aaron Thompson, was charged in 2002 with lewd molestation of several children at the school. The complaint was filed in the Tulsa County Court.

The school allegedly delayed reporting the abuse, and when Thompson was charged proceeded to transfer assets around to third parties to protect themselves financially, claim the parents of one of the boys who was allegedly abused.  It is also claimed that the school failed to act even when numerous complaints about Thompson's actions were reported for several years.  The suit is asking for punitive damages for negligence, intentional or reckless infliction of emotional distress and fraudulent conveyance of their assets.  It is claimed that all teachers at the school were ordained ministers of the church.
