Reverend Aaron Cote has been convicted of a third degree sex offense, reports the Associated Press. He was sentenced to 10 years probation and must register as a sex offender. The Catholic priest pleaded not guilty, but was convicted by a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge who heard facts that were undisputed. The priest, now 57, who lives in New York City, had reached a $1.2 million settlement two years ago with the victim, who claims that the priest repeatedly molested him from June 2001 until June 2002.
