A suit has been filed against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, reports the OC Register. The suit claims that the unnamed man, a child at the time, was molested by a priest, Monsignor Sinon Falvey.
Falvey, who had served at St. Norbert's from from 1976 to 1989, was retired at the time the abuse is claimed to have occurred. Falvey was still living in St. Norbert's parish and the boy was then serving as an altar boy. The suit claims that the Diocese was aware of the sexual abuse and did nothing to stop it. Falvey died in 2005.
A religious leader who takes advantage of children is committing an unspeakable act. A trusting child can be seriously damaged by such a violation.
