The Seattle Times reported that three Washington men settled their clergy abuse lawsuits with the Seattle Roman Catholic Diocese for $800,000. One man received $400,000 and the other two received $200,000 each.
According to the lawsuit, the late Reverend Edward Boyle abused the three men when they were teenagers between the 1960s and 1970s at the Holy Trinity Church located in Bremerton, WA. This is not the first case to name Boyle as an abuser - two cases have previously settled for a total of over $300,000.
