The Chicago Tribune recently reported on another sexual abuse case connected with the Catholic Church.
Tim Waters, now 37, has filed a clergy abuse lawsuit against a Chicago priest. In the suit, Waters states that the Reverend Robert Stepek fondled him in a car 22 years ago. According to Waters, he had no memory of the incident until a recent mental breakdown. Stepek was formerly the pastor of the St. Albert the Great Catholic church in Burbank, but stepped down after allegations surfaced that he had sexually abused two youths in the 1980s.
Phillip Zisook, Stepek's defense attorney, states that Stepek "categorically denies all allegations."
