A recent Fox news story in Louisiana discussed the accusation of former Baton Rouge Bishop Joseph Sullivan of child sexual abuse. Sullivan died in 1982.
The allegations state that Sullivan sexually abused a former student of the Catholic Baton Rouge Minor Seminary almost 30 years ago. The student, now 42, reports that he has recovered memories of the abuse that were formerly repressed. He was only now able to come forward and recount the abuses that he suffered at the hands of the ex-bishop.
This is the second accusation against Sullivan; another suit was previously settled by the Baton Rouge Diocese regarding sexual abuse in 2004.
